Comparison of the different methods for the determination of the powder binders grindability
Virágová, Tereza ; Walter, Martin (referee) ; Dvořák, Karel (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is to summarize the knowledge gained in the field of grinding medium-hard and hard materials. Work has focused on examining the grindability of the material using available laboratory mill. The part of the work is subsequent optimization of the grinding process on the device and evaluation of the results.
Design and Testing of methodology for in-situ sample cleaning for low voltage electron microscopy
Rudolfová, Zdena ; Vávra,, Ivo (referee) ; Kolíbal, Miroslav (advisor)
This thesis concentrates on the methodology of semiconductor samples preparation for low voltage scanning electron microscopy. In the first part a detailed theory of sample imaging using electron beam and difference between classical scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and low voltage scanning electron microscopy (LVSEM) is described. It is given a description of a contrast formation in SEM and LVSEM and theories describing a contrast formation of differently doped semiconductors. The second part contains experimental data. The advantages and disadvantages of cleavage and focused ion beam (FIB) milling as sample preparation techniques are discussed. FIB was found as the best method for sample preparation for the analysis of precisely defined location on the sample. It is necessary to use the lowest possible FIB accelerating voltage for final polishing, ideally 1 kV.
Plasmid DNAs interactions with lanthanoide compounds
Budko, Kateryna ; Horák, Daniel (referee) ; Rittich, Bohuslav (advisor)
Recently much attention is given to lanthanides and their complexes as excellent catalysts for cleavage of nucleic acids. The thesis has been focused on the cleavage of plasmid and bacterial DNA by ions Nd3+ and Y3+ and by different carriers containing the lanthanide compounds. The creation of single-stranded nicks and double-stranded ones in the plasmid DNA molecules was studied by agarose gel electrophoresis. Verification of the cleavage of bacterial DNA was made by polymerase chain reaction using primers specific for the domain Bacteria and genus and species-specific primers. The results will be used in the development of the method that will allow perfect carriers`s coverage verification with the magnetic perovskit nucleus and other carriers with the lanthanide compounds.
Electronic structure and mechanical properties of interfaces in solids
Češka, Jakub ; Šesták, Petr (referee) ; Černý, Miroslav (advisor)
In this work I focus on a theoretical study of the properties of transition metal nitrides (TiN, AlN and VN in the rock-salt structure). In addition to the nitrides themselves, I focus on the interface in systems of multilayers consisting of pairs of these nitrides. For nitrides, I predict the lattice parameter and cleavage energy using ab initio calculations. For the interface, the main goal is to predict the cleavage energy of the interface and to predict the influence that an atom substituted in one of layers on the interface has on the value of cleavage energy. According to the calculations performed, an oxygen atom substituted in the interface has a significant influence on the value of cleavage energy. The value of cleavage energy for the interface with an oxygen atom differs significantly from that for the pure interface. Whether there was a decrease or an increase depended on which of the layers at the interface the oxygen atom was substituted in.

Theory of Political Spectrum
Bonuš, Věnek ; Wintr, Jan (advisor) ; Urban, Michal (referee)
Theory of Political Spectrum Proposed New Model of Political Spectrum in the Context of Political Changes Caused by Globalisation Major political changes are happening across Europe and the world during the second decade of the 21 century, represented by the collapse of traditional party systems or Brexit. Current models of political spectrum cannot convincingly explain these changes. In my thesis, I propose a new model of political spectrum which reflects contemporary political changes and contributes to their explanation. Main innovation of the model is the inclusion of political conflict based on globalisation. In the first part of the thesis, I describe historic and modern models of political spectrum including the well-known political compass. I analyse them, critically assess them and form general methodological requirements, which should be met by functional models of political spectrum. In the second part of the thesis, I integrate cleavage theory into the theory of political spectrum. Cleavage theory addresses the most salient political conflicts in political systems. Furthermore, I describe the decline of traditional cleavages and changes in party systems. I dedicate most of my attention to a new cleavage caused by globalisation, described as transnational cleavage. In the third part of the...
Sport as Local Cleavage: Case Study of Vysočina Region
Kacetlová, Kateřina ; Jüptner, Petr (advisor) ; Bubeníček, Václav (referee)
The diploma thesis Sport as Local Cleavages: Case Study of Vysočina Region analyses whether sport and sport related topics (sport financing and other support, organization of sports events, operation and building of sport facilities, association activities, etc.) are able to divide a society, or whether it can be one of the cleavages at the local level in the Vysočina Region and what intensity this cleavage could have in the examined municipalities. The theoretical part contains the concept of conflict lines of S. Rokkan and S. M. Lipset. The research put emphasis on the local level of politics, the Czech environment and the cleavage connected with a sport. Authors such as S.Balík, V. Bubeníček, J. Čmejrek, J. Čopík, V. Hloušek and M. Kubálek are dealing with these issues. The analytical part of the thesis is a case study that examines the presence of cleavage, its intensity and the approach of actors through both semi-structured interviews with representatives of selected municipalities, records of municipalities and as well through media news monitoring. Based on research it is obvious that sport could evoke and develop conflicts and, in some cases, can indeed significantly divide a society and establish a new local policy player.
Method of Threshold Stress Determination for a Local Approach to Cleavage Fracture
Kotrechko, S. ; Gryshchenko, V. ; Kozák, Vladislav ; Dlouhý, Ivo
The contribution is focused on a new methodology description for determination of threshold stress sigma th, as the third parameter in Beremin local approach to cleavage fracture that is using three-parameter Weibull statistics. Nature of the methodology lies in tensile testing of rounded notched specimens at liquid nitrogen temperature and corresponding calculations. Reactor pressure vessel steel was chosen as an example for the illustration.
Bulgarian Parties and Party System after 1989
Stojanovová, Marie ; Koubek, Jiří (advisor) ; Buben, Radek (referee)
Bulgarian Parties and Political System after 1989 Marie Stojanovová The Bachelor thesis will be focused on the development of Bulgarian parties and party lines. The time context will be limited to the period after the fall of the Communist regime. A close attention will be paid to the analysis of Bulgarian party system, especially on the basis of the phenomena of fragmentation and polarization, both typical for the 90's. The theoretical basis consists in the comparative study of transitions to democracy and of the electoral systems.
